Theo-Logic, Volume 3: The Spirit of the Truth is unavailable, but you can change that!

The final volume of the Theo-Logic focuses on the work of the Holy Spirit. Though Balthasar devotes some thought to the relations within the Trinity and to the problem of the filioque, he spends the better part of the volume presenting his ideas of the objective and subjective aspects of the Spirit’s person and work.

Spirit, so that he may implant it in the womb of the Virgin. For what the Spirit will fashion in her womb is, not a “natural son” of the Spirit or of the entire Trinity, but expressly the Son of the Father. But as we have demonstrated, the active operation of the Spirit is too well attested for us to limit it to the merely secondary production of accidental grace. Recalling the words of Basil and Gregory Nazianzen, the Spirit is the “Forerunner”, in the sense of the primary agent. This being so,
